Weyland Written for Henriksen   Lance Henriksen has told the Sci-Fi Wire that his role in the upcoming Alien vs. Predator film, like the role of Frank Black, was written specifically for him.  "I was the first one cast in the movie," Henriksen explains. "[Paul W. S. Anderson] was gracious enough to literally, for two hours, tell me every scene in the movie. And I was stunned, because he has this incredible enthusiasm for what he's doing and what his vision is that he had the energy to do that. So, I was really welcomed."  Henriksen, well known as Bishop in the Alien films, has explained that his character in the upcoming blockbuster, billionaire industrialist Charles Bishop Weyland, is being established as the future inspiration for his android character.  Visit the Sci-Fi Wire for further commentary from Henriksen concerning the project.  Alien vs. Predator is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on August 6, 2004.

Latest Henriksen Releases   While Lance Henriksen continues to prove as prolific as ever, signing on for a variety of films slated for the coming year, much of his previous work is now being made available on video and DVD in time for the holiday season.  The Alien Quadrilogy collection is now available, bringing together all four Alien films plus commentaries and bonus documentaries featuring Henriksen.  The Invitation, a contemplative thriller from Pat Bermel starring both Henriksen and Millennium's Sarah-Jane Redmond, has been released at last.  Also, James Cameron's Expedition: Bismarck, a documentary narrated by Henriksen, can be seen on cable and DVD.  The actor spoke with Fangoria recently concerning all of his recent and upcoming projects.  “Above all, I just love to work," Lance explains. "That’s it... I always do my best no matter what the movie. I never take a project and work just to get by.”  The article sets the record straight concerning much of his future films and discusses the latest Alien vs. Predator developments.  The official website for Alien vs. Predator, starring Henriksen, is now online and includes the film's teaser trailer and behind the scenes footage.  Visit Lance Henriksen Magic for further details on all of the aforementioned and more.

Morgan and Wong Return to TV   The feature film successes of Glen Morgan and James Wong apparently don't mean the end of their work with episodic television.  Both Showtime and NBC are currently preparing high-profile projects to be helmed by the duo.  Their Showtime series, The Hobby, will reportedly spotlight the world of high-end prostitution.  The NBC show, Den of Thieves, began as a feature film script for New Line Cinema and is being described as a heist drama similar to Fox's 24 in its season-long storytelling format.   Both shows are being produced by 20th Century Fox's Original Pictures.  Morgan and Wong, who will continue with their planned feature film productions, are expected to write, executive produce, and possibly direct episodes of both The Hobby and Den of Thieves.  Visit Morgan & Wong Online or Variety for in-depth details on the upcoming shows.

Sasquatch Sighting   The Sci-Fi Channel will premiere Sasquatch (The Untold) this Saturday night.  Following his horror film favoritism, "Lance Henriksen stars in [this] Pacific Northwest thriller of monsters and monstrous men."  The former Millennium star plays Harlan Knowles, a billionaire industrialist whose obsession with the recovery of his missing daughter and missing technology leads him into the wilderness and puts him up against the legendary Sasquatch.  The film, promoted as based on a true story, was released on DVD earlier this year.  Sasquatch is scheduled to air Saturday, November 22nd, at 9:00pm.  Visit Sci-Fi for further film and scheduling details.

TIWWA Returns   Fans recently concerned by the unexplained disappearance of certain prominent Millennium sites have nothing to fear.  Millennium Desktop UK and the This is Who We Are message forum, both of which were temporarily unavailable earlier this week as the result of hosting problems, are being returned to the web.  Fortunately, the technical problems are being resolved and both sites are now available once more.  Webmaster Graham Smith has stated, "Rest assured that all files, web pages, message board posts, topics and replies are all intact and once this upheaval has been completed, normal service will resume."  This is Who We Are is now online and Millennium Desktop UK is temporarily available at this address.  Patience is, of course, appreciated during any further trails of the technological transition.

Ten-Thirteen Day   Today Chris Carter, creator of Millennium, celebrates his 47th birthday.  In the year since The X-Files departed from the television airwaves there has been little news concerning the writer-producer's activities or the future of his production company.  Carter has presumably been occupied with preparing material for The X-Files DVD sets and, of course, rumors continue to circulating concerning the expected follow-up to The X-Files movie.  He is also tied to outstanding development deals with Fox, Dimension Films, and Bantam Books.  For now, however, the specifics of Ten-Thirteen Productions' future seem uncertain.  We can only hope he continues to remember Millennium and its fans.  The Abyss extends its best birthday wishes to Carter and we wait with baited breath for news of upcoming projects.  Visit Chris Carter Online to properly celebrate the occasion and explore the man's history and his work on Millennium.

Survival of the Fittest   SciFi.com has posted their latest poll of the week and it's asking site visitors to judge whether Lance Henriksen is likely to survive his upcoming bout with two of the universe's most vicious alien species.  The poll states, "Lance Henriksen will join two ugly creatures in the upcoming Alien vs. Predator movie, starting production this month. Who will win?"  Voters must decide whether "the Alien has the chops," they should "dread the Predator," or if "Lance is the man of the millennium."  Currently, voters seem to favor the the fighting skills of the Predator.  Henriksen's followers, however, know he's a man not to be underestimated.  Visit SciFi.com's Sci-Fi Wire to voice a vote for the millennium man.

Mimic 3 Comes to DVD   While Lance Henriksen heads to Prague to begin shooting Alien vs. Predator, many of the prolific actor's recent direct-to-video films are being made available for the first time.  Coming this month, in time for Halloween, is Mimic 3: Sentinel.  The horror sequel focuses on a young man confined to a plastic bubble as he and his closest friends discover their apartment complex is being overtaken by a dangerous breed of mutant cockroaches.  Henriksen's relatively minor character in the film is known only as Garbageman.  Mimic 3: Sentinel will be released on DVD on October 14th and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.

SEPTEMBER NEWS

September 29th

Henriksen Versus Aliens   Variety has reported that Lance Henriksen is the first star to sign on for the upcoming science fiction slugfest Alien vs. Predator.  While Henriksen is perhaps best known to cinemagoers for his role as Bishop in Aliens and Alien 3, this doesn't mean that the android character will be making a comeback.  Reportedly, "Henriksen is playing billionaire industrialist Charles Weyland, the man who assembles a team to investigate a strange subterranean structure discovered in the frozen wastes of Antarctica."  The casting move, which has been rumored for months, serves to further connect the Paul W. S. Anderson film to its Alien predecessors.  Alien vs. Predator is scheduled to begin shooting in October with an expected release during the summer of 2004.  Visit Cinescape or the Sci-Fi Wire for further reports.

Digital Democracy   20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is quietly probing public opinion regarding their plans for the future.  An online poll has been established as a means of surveying viewer interest in seeing various television shows, both cult and classic, released on DVD.  Twenty-five shows in all have been included in the survey, shows ranging from Ally McBeal to Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.  Among them is Millennium, along with both Harsh Realm and The Lone Gunmen.  At the very least, the survey shows 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is considering a Millennium release.  Strong numbers behind Chris Carter's shows can only serve to convince the company that the viewers are out there.  Visit the Fox TV DVD poll now and voice your vote for Millennium and other Ten-Thirteen Productions.

DVDs On Track?   Lance Henriksen's recent insistence that continuing talk about projects helps to make them a reality may be proven true.  Millennium fans continue to clamor for the series on DVD and those in charge at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment are becoming more vocal under pressure about their progress.  According to one source, Fox representative Peter Staddon, a longtime proponent of bringing Millennium to DVD, is now certain the series will be released but that it will not happen until late next year at the earliest.  One further explanation for continued delays is Millennium's prevalent use of pop music.  While the series producers obtained legal permission to utilize the music of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Cypress Hill, Patti Smith, and Bobby Darin to highlight memorable scenes there was no foresight granted to an eventual DVD release in those contracts.  Now, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment must obtain ancillary music rights before preparing the show's episodes for any new release.  Once these issues and Chris Carter's preoccupation with The X-Files DVD releases have passed we may see Millennium discs in 2004.  The Abyss will, of course, continue to monitor the situation and post any facts concerning the show's future on DVD.

AUGUST NEWS

August 25th

Henriksen Hypes One Point 0   While both Lance Henriksen and his fans can only dream about a Millennium motion picture for the moment, the actor is certainly making himself seen on screen in a variety of roles.  While speaking with DVD Monthly magazine for the September issue, the ever-prolific actor offered some comments regarding his most recent genre film work.  Specifically, Henriksen cites the upcoming One Point 0, a science fiction thriller that considers how nanotechnology might be used for corporate advertising, as one to watch for.  "[One Point 0] is the best science fiction I've ever done," Henriksen says of the film some are referring to as Kafkaesque.  "It was really low budget but, man, these guys were geniuses.  It's actually a trilogy that they are hoping to make if the first one goes well."  The film is currently in post-production.  Henriksen also stars in such upcoming horror films as Madhouse, As Good as Dead, and Hellraiser: Hellworld.  Photos and a complete plot description for the latter film are now available at Castel Film Studios' official website.  Further details on all of these releases will be posted, as always, once they become available.

Henriksen Talks Millennium Movie   The latest issue of DVD Monthly magazine includes a feature spotlighting the "astonishing career" of Lance Henriksen.  The two-page interview, entitled "Confessions of a Vampire Android," allows the actor to comment on the cult classic Near Dark, his most recent work in science fiction films, and the long-rumored possibility of bringing Frank Black to the big screen.  According to Henriksen, the fact that there's been nothing but talk regarding a Millennium motion picture is promising nonetheless.  With Chris Carter's help, he's hoping to continue discussing possibilities and to spread the word about the dream project.  "Chris Carter and I have been talking about that again," states Henriksen.  "Everything starts with the word.  Language is so powerful, people don't realize that.  But the more you put out in the universe [about] what you really want to do there's a good chance it could happen.  If you don't, nothing will happen."  This remains one idea that Millennium fans are sure to talk about.  The September issue of DVD Monthly, which also includes an interview with occasional Millennium guest star CCH Pounder, is on newsstands now in the United Kingdom.  Thanks are extended to Lance Henriksen Magic for the newsstand notice.

Redmond Joins Fan Legion   The effort to draw former members of Millennium's cast and crew to the "This is Who We Are" online fan forum continues.  Scott Pugliese, the liaison better known to forum members as Selfosophy Psycho, has most recently been able to connect fans with Sarah-Jane Redmond, unarguably one of the series' most significant guest stars.  Redmond left an unforgettable impression with viewers in bringing Frank Black's one true nemesis, the demonic Lucy Butler, to life during three pivotal guest spots on Millennium.  The actress has already taken part in an exclusive forum interview in which she comments on the events that led her to portray the show's most memorable villain and on her upcoming screen appearances.  "I am so proud of working on Millennium," Redmond explains.  "The show's creators took a chance on me and my career took off from that point.  Lance taught me what a true 'star' is like, just like everyone else on set, and Mr. Carter is beyond his time."  Visit "This is Who We Are" to read the complete interview and to become a member of the ever-growing conversational community.

Germans Choosing Millennium   The German division of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has been asking visitors to its official website to choose which Ten-Thirteen production they'd like to see released on DVD following The X-Files.  Currently, nearly 60% of visitors have voted for Millennium.  Approximately 35% of voters have chosen The Lone Gunmen, leaving Harsh Realm with 5% of the vote.  While the results of a simple online poll will likely have a negligible effect on Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's DVD marketing and production plans it is nonetheless promising to see that divisions of the company are beginning to think about the future of Ten-Thirteen Productions on DVD.  Visit Fox Germany's official website to view the poll and vote.  German speaking Millennium fans will also want to visit "Die Hand Die Verletzt," a new German language dedicated subsection of the This is Who We Are fan forum moderated by Tobias Horvath.  Log in and join a discussion regarding Fox Germany's DVD poll.

Community Casting Call   The "This is Who We Are" online fan forum is continually proving to be an exciting way for Millennium fans to continue to explore their interest in and passion for the series.  Notably, administrator Scott Pugliese has recently made a dedicated effort to use the message board as a means of connecting fans of the series with its former stars and guest stars.  The first Millennium performer to join the community is Fawnia Mondey, a five-time series guest star who was first seen in the pilot episode.  Thus far, Mondey has taken part in an exclusive online interview, responded to fan questions, and reflected on her contributions to the series.  Pugliese is striving to connect with other actors and actresses seen on the series, most recently communicating with Sarah-Jane Redmond, and the potential for this aspect of the forum is coming to be realized.  Visit "This is Who We Are" to explore and take part in the many conversations already online.

JUNE NEWS

Henriksen Visits NASA   Lance Henriksen made entertainment headlines this weekend by spending some time with heroes of the U.S. space program twenty years after he portrayed one on the big screen.  Henriksen presided over a ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida this past weekend inducting four former NASA astronauts into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.  Henriksen portrayed Mercury 7 astronaut Wally Schirra in the Academy Award winning The Right Stuff, which was recently released on special edition DVD in honor of its twentieth anniversary.  "It's everything and more than I ever dreamt," Henriksen commented regarding the NASA complex. "The best thing about having done The Right Stuff was it got me a ticket to come here tonight.  That's the best thing, all these years later."  Visit Yahoo! News or Space.com for further coverage of the event.

Revelation Revealed   I would like to direct the attention of Abyss visitors to a creative project that I have recently initiated.  This fall will bring the publication of Revelation, an independently published, low budget, non-profit literary zine preoccupied with the apocalypse.  Contributors are invited to submit artwork or writing of any kind -- short stories, short plays, poems, essays, reviews, commentaries, artwork, cartoons -- provided that the material is in some way related to a creative conception of the end of the world.  The zine seeks to explore those themes inherently linked to the notion of doomsday in unique and entertaining new ways.  The material that will appear in the zine will undoubtedly be of interest to those who loved Millennium.  Visit the Revelation website for complete details and future updates on this creative endeavor.  Submissions for the premiere issue will be accepted until August 31st.

DVD Delays Explained?   While Millennium fans have been clamoring for the release of the series on DVD there have seemingly been no true efforts made at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to prepare the series for a proper release.  Rumored release dates are continually being pushed back.  Now, a reliable source has informed the Abyss that newly appointed 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment President Mike Dunn has offered a reasonable explanation for the continued lack of progress in bringing Millennium to DVD and also hope for the future.  While the series' release is reportedly in the development phase, and the company is open to releasing the show, creator Chris Carter has apparently been so overwhelmed in preparing the ongoing The X-Files discs that he hasn't been able to properly devote attention to Millennium.  If this is the primary reason Millennium has yet to be brought to DVD, further developments may be forthcoming early next year, once the ninth and final season of The X-Files has been released on DVD.  As always, Millennium will trail in the shadow of its more popular predecessor.  Any and all news regarding Millennium's potential eventual DVD release will be reported as it is gathered.

Scream Scheduling   Canadian fans regularly watching Millennium on the horror themed Scream channel have nothing to fear.  The series is not going to be disappearing from their schedule anytime soon.  It's been revealed that Millennium will continue to air on that outlet once its current run is complete.  Scream Viewer Relations has announced, "We're happy to tell you that Scream will begin Millennium from the pilot, episode one, on Wednesday, August 6."  The channel, now showing the early second season, currently airs the series thrice daily.  A complete and up-to-date schedule of the upcoming Scream showings is available, as always, in the airdates section.

Advertisement Appearances   Two of Millennium's primary stars can now be seen back on television, although viewers will have to look for them during the commercial interruptions rather than the programming itself.  The young Brittany Tiplady, as many fans have already discovered, can currently be seen in a thirty-second spot for Dell Computers in the United States.  The ad is the latest in a series of commercials featuring the Dell interns.  Meanwhile, Lance Henriksen is making commercial appearances in Australia.  Henriksen is the focus of a new Visa advertisement which plays upon the actor's image and film associations while featuring fortean phenomena in the form of raining fish.  The Australian ad is not yet online but may soon be available for download at the Visa site's celebrity commercial section.  Keep an eye out for the familiar faces.

Crossover Comes to DVD   Frank Black has come to DVD.  Unfortunately, its not in the context that Millennium fans have been so desperately hoping for.  The seventh season of The X-Files has been released on DVD today, bringing the infamous crossover episode with it.  "Millennium," the fifth episode of the season, is a peripheral Millennium storyline at best.  While Lance Henriksen is superb as always in the well-written role of Frank Black, the episode features a somewhat ridiculous paranormal storyline that has no real connection to the mythology or themes of Millennium.  The celebratory story, even with the first real kiss shared between Mulder and Scully, is easily overshadowed by stronger seventh season entries of The X-Files.  It does, however, represent what may be the final bow for Frank and Jordan Black and the Millennium universe.  Sadly, this will be the only one of Frank Black's adventures to be committed to DVD in the foreseeable future.  Visit Amazon.com to pick up the latest set in The X-Files DVD series, or visit the Abyss crossover subsection to view screen-grabs from the episode.

Transcript Coverage Expanding   While the Millennial Abyss episode guide contains a significant number of complete Millennium episode transcripts, including the whole of the first season, texts have yet to be prepared for the entire series.  Recently, a number of fans have expressed a particular interest in seeing those missing transcripts created.  Thus, I'm pleased to be able to report that efforts are currently underway to fill in the gaps and bring the Abyss episode guide's script coverage closer to completeness.  Thanks to the dedicated transcription efforts of Libby, the Abyss will be featuring a new line of accurate and complete Millennium episode transcripts.  The first of the new files, "The Beginning and the End," has been finished and posted to the Abyss episode guide.  Further transcripts are coming soon, so keep your eyes on the episode guide.

Henriksen in Two-Dimensions   Prepare to add yet another new motion picture to Lance Henriksen's ever-expanding résumé, and this one stands uniquely apart from the rest.  Lance has lent his unmistakable voice to a new animated feature.  The Chosen One, from Visionbox Pictures and X-42 Productions, is being billed as the first animated feature to be produced entirely outside of the studio system.  The independent cartoon comedy takes its humor from religious and apocalyptic scenarios, placing Lance in the role of Cardinal Fred.  "The film uses ensemble comedy and comic book action to weave a tale about competitive gods, bizarre cults and one average guy’s road trip to save the world."  Henriksen is joined in the cast by his Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse co-stars, Tim Curry and Traci Lords.  The voice actors completed recording their parts earlier this year but a release date has not yet been chosen.  Visit The Chosen One's official website for an overview of the film's story, characters, and continuing production.

Henriksen Enters Madhouse   Fangoria is reporting that Lance Henriksen has added yet another horror-thriller to his shooting schedule in Romania.  It seems the actor's trademark prolificacy has kicked into overdrive while he is on location and now, in the days following his birthday, the list of his upcoming films is becoming surprisingly long.  Lance has most recently stepped in to fill a lead role in Madhouse.  "Dee Wallace Stone has escaped from the Madhouse cast, due to an extended commitment in Los Angeles, but Lance Henriksen has been added to the lineup as the villainous Dr. Ian Franks, the head of the haunted asylum," explains director William Butler, who also claims that the film's shooting has been plagued by haunting paranormal events.  Visit Fangoria.com for further facts on the movie's production.  Madhouse joins the likes of The Prophecy 4, Hellraiser: Hellworld, and Mimic: Sentinel, all horror film sequels undergoing production in Romania with Lance in a lead role.  Ain't it Cool News, in fact, has recently released a favorable review for the direct-to-video feature last on that list.  Extensive news concerning Henriksen's current work is certain to be reported here at the Abyss as it becomes evident.

Happy Birthday!   Today is Lance Henriksen's 63rd birthday.  The man who would go on to become a brilliant actor highly recognizable amid low budget horror films, perhaps best known for his role in Millennium, was born in New York City on May 5, 1940.  Lance is spending this most recent birthday in Romania, where he is on location shooting his most recent string of films.  "I appreciate the idea that anybody would think of me as a star," Lance once modestly explained.  "But I'm really not career oriented in the sense that I want to be a star. It's not in me. It's not what I do. In fact, I'm amazed that I've even gotten this far."  Visit Lance Henriksen Web Magic for a proper overview of the actor's life and life's work and be sure to examine the site's latest article, The Tao of Lance, which contains some intriguing commentary regarding the character of Frank Black.  The Abyss extends its sincerest birthday wishes to the man that so eloquently brought television's greatest hero to life.

APRIL NEWS

Millennium After Midnight   Unfortunately, watching Millennium on the United Kingdom's version of the Sci-Fi Channel is about to get a lot more difficult for British fans.  In spite of earlier assurances that the channel would be proudly airing the series in its entirety following their acquisition of the second season, Millennium will lose its regular Tuesday night timeslot following next week's airing of "Roosters."  The series has now been moved to Sunday night and placed in a fluctuating post-midnight timeslot.  Fans will have to keep a close eye on the chaotic late night times the series has been scheduled in week after week.  The Abyss airdates section, as always, will be updated regularly to present this information for viewers.  Visit Sci-Fi UK to examine the new schedule or to contact the channel's representatives with your thoughts.

Apocalypse Being Adapted   The Hollywood Reporter has recently noted that legendary make-up man Stan Winston has optioned the film rights to The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the upcoming apocalyptic horror game starring Lance Henriksen.  The Oscar winning Winston is already tied to the game's development, creating some of the shocking character and creature designs for the title.  "Four Horsemen has a compelling storyline with a dark, gritty look and feel that caught my attention," Winston has said.  Undoubtedly, he felt the story was compelling enough for a more extravagant treatment.  The Sci-Fi Wire elaborates on the plot by explaining "the game puts players in the role of Abaddon (voiced by Lance Henriksen), a fallen angel sent to Earth to stop the four horsemen of the apocalypse from destroying the world."  Is it possible that Winston, who has directed Henriksen previously, may look to the game's leading man to continue in the role of Abaddon during the project's translation to the big screen?  Lance would seem to be the man for the job.  Visit the Sci-Fi Wire for the film news or IGN.com for a first look at the game title.  The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is expected to be released for the Playstation 2 and Xbox this October.

Easter Egg Hunt   It's been revealed to the Abyss that Millennium fans have an added reason to look forward to the upcoming Playstation 2 and Xbox debuts of Agents Mulder and Scully.  Apparently, Vivendi Universal Games' The X-Files: Resist or Serve will include numerous subtle references to the the adventures of Frank Black that have been placed there by the game's programmers.  Those who are familiar with Millennium and examine the survival-horror game's objects and environments closely will, reportedly, be occasionally rewarded.  In the most obvious example, the battle damage Dana Scully receives throughout the game will offer a glimpse trough strategically placed tears in her clothing at the Millennium inspired Ouroboros tattoo she bears on her back.  It will be nice to find even the most minute of appreciative, on-screen Millennium tributes in this latest Ten-Thirteen project.  More details regarding these entertaining Millennium "Easter eggs" within the game will be reported as they're discovered.  The X-Files: Resist or Serve is expected early this summer.

MARCH NEWS

March 30th

No News is Bad News   The often reliable Rumor Mill at the Digital Bits website has recently posted information concerning Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's DVD release schedule and the listing, unfortunately, counteracts earlier reports that indicated a Millennium release might be forthcoming.  "Amazon has revealed 20th Century Fox's TV DVD plans through the end of 2003, and even into very early 2004," the site reports.  "Keep in mind that these titles haven't been officially announced by the studio, so it's to be taken as unofficial only. Also, things can change at any time."  The short listing includes television shows such as 24, The Shield, and Dark Angel, but Millennium is nowhere to be found.  Does this mean that there will be no official Millennium DVD release this year?  It's entirely possible.  Millennium fans can only wait and worry.  Visit the Digital Bits for the disappointing details.

Henriksen Means Horror   It's becoming difficult to keep track of all of Lance Henriksen's current movie projects.  The former Millennium star continues to remain one of the industry's most prolific talents and continues to remain intrinsically linked to the horror genre.  Fans keeping a close watch on the actor's official website will have noticed that the site's content has been temporarily suspended while he is working abroad.  Now, minor details have begun to emerge regarding his most recent projects.  Lance will be starring alongside actress Kari Wuhrer in two direct-to-video horror sequels.  Upcoming Horror Movies reports that The Prophecy 4 will continue the otherworldly saga with Lance in a lead role.  Disappointingly, Christopher Walken will not be continuing in his role as the angel Gabriel for this extension of the series.  Meanwhile, Moviehole reports that both Lance and Kari are leading the cast of Hellraiser: Hellworld.  Both films, like the upcoming Mimic: Sentinel, are being filmed in Romania.  Visit the individual sites for additional information.  Thanks must be extended to Lance Henrisken Magic for keeping on top of the actor's chaotic filming schedule.  Further news regarding Henriksen's latest efforts will be posted to the Abyss as it becomes available.

An Unauthorized Alternative   Millennium fans, still waiting desperately for an official DVD release of the series which may never come, have had their curiosity piqued by the Japanese DVD box sets now appearing regularly on online auction sites.  Appropriately, many fans can't help but turn a suspicious eye to this mercantile oddity.  The Abyss presented an analysis of the discs last year in an effort to inform and protect potential buyers.  Zeta Minor, a fan run entertainment information website, has recently published its own highly detailed exposé concerning this set's technical qualifications, or lack thereof.  "You won’t find this Millennium DVD box set in any high street retailer," Zeta Minor warns.  "The set... is from Japan. With no tangible sign that the series will receive a UK or US release, dedicated fans will probably be happy enough to get episodes on a compact, convenient format. There are some significant drawbacks, however, so people with a more casual interest are advised to consider carefully."  Read the complete Zeta Minor DVD Review to receive key facts concerning this apparently unauthorized merchandise and to view screenshots.  Thanks to the Millennium Desktop UK for the find.

Millennium for March   The latest monthly wallpaper image representing the ongoing calendar project has been posted and is available for download.  March's image is unique among the accumulating artwork of the Abyss calendar; this is the first monthly image not to feature the visage of any Millennium character.  The graphic is unmistakably inspired by the series, however, featuring a glowing Ouroboros amidst apocalyptic accoutrements.  The image, as always, is available in both 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768 size formats.  Visit the Abyss calendar section now to download or print the latest graphic.
